General Manager 2 - Multi-Service

Unit Description:

Sodexo, leader in quality of life services has an immediate opening for a General Manager 2 - Multi-Service at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center opening in late summer. This position will have oversight of Food Services, Linen &a; Laundry, Vending and Environmental Services.



This is a five story, 129 private bed facility with 341,000 cleanable square feet including Labor &a; Delivery, Medical/Surgical, General Surgery, Cardiac Surgery/Cath Lab, Emergency Dept. 0perating Rooms and Physicians Offices (Medical Office Building).



Lancaster Medical Center is a Non-union full service account (all employees on Sodexo payroll), which will be utilizing Sodexo&s;s At Your Request patient meal delivery system (AYR).



The strategic leader that we are looking for will manage the day to day operation of this unit with a Management Team of 5, 42 EVS FTE&s;s and 30 Food Service FTE&s;s. The ability to manage each service and lead satisfaction in every area will be key.

As our Multi-Service General Manager your responsibilities will include:



  • overseeing the daily operations for Retail Food Service, At Your Request (AYR) patient meal service, Environmental Services and Catering;

  • achieving company and client financial targets and goals;

  • managing and developing a team of front-line staff and 7 managers/RD&s;s;

  • working to achieve continuous improvement in satisfaction;

  • meeting or exceeding Sodexo standards of operations

  • managing multiple priorities, demonstrating professional communication skills and a passion for a high level of customer service

The ideal candidate:


  • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • has solid food service and environmental service experience;
  • has the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationship;

  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.



  • Employees in Healthcare and Seniors are required to be fully vaccinated as a term and condition of employment at Sodexo no later than February 28, 2022, absent a legally required exception, and are required to report their vaccination status and upload proof of vaccination via an online portal.


    • After February 28, you must be fully vaccinated before you can start work. Fully vaccinated by February 28 means:


      • Obtain the first dose of a two-dose vaccine no later than January 27, 2022; and the second dose no later than February 28, 2022; or

      • Obtain one dose of a single-dose vaccine no later than January 27, 2022

Position
Summary:

Functions as the leader for multiple core services, in a single account and/or multiple locations within the same contract. Single point of contact and/or client liaison in support of business that in total is between $5 and $10 million in managed volume.
Key Duties
- Monitors operations by planned and unplanned visits to each operating account of the system to plan projects, implement new processes, client interactions, and new technology to ensure sufficient resources.


- Develops business plan and budget w/each account GM that supports the System and District goals - Reviews and analyzes financial statements and data and other financial information to ensure attainment of financial goals for both the client and Sodexo.


- Central Point of Contact for Client Liaison promoting a solid business partnership - assists in contract negotiations for the system.


- Maintains Quality &a; Company Standards - reviews and maintains reports to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Sodexo / System Client(s) policies and procedures.


- Responsible for system succession planning/employee development/diversity initiatives/training/constructive counseling. Promotes and supports workplace diversity initiatives.


- Provides strategic leadership to the respective units within the system to maintain client satisfaction and retention





Qualifications &a; Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 5 years

Salary: $29.52 - $53.81Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
